I believe forming connections and building a trustworthy reputation is important among my profession. I value the deaf community and the feedback I receive from members. See it straight from the source below!

Hi, my name is Nate Huddleston. I am speaking on behalf of Alana Miller. I met her years ago at a camp where we both worked. My first impression of her was how deeply involved she was in the deaf community and how social she was among the deaf. As far as her signing skills go, they are beyond the standard. When I first met her, I thought she was deaf. When I found out she was hearing, I was impressed. Personally, I am not very involved with the deaf community, however, I can clearly see her heart is invested in the deaf community. Frequently, she posts on Facebook and social media educating the public on social justice issues as they pertain to the community. Again, I must reiterate her signing skills are phenenomal, you will be very lucky to have her on your team. Her fluency combined with her big heart for the deaf community makes her a great candidate. If you have any questions- feel free to contact me.

Hello, Rosie here! I have known Alana for approximately five to six years. Alana is extremely fluent in her first language, I actually thought she could be deaf. As it turns out, her fluency deceives her. She is a phenomenal interpreter. There have been a few instances in which I've relied on her to interpret for me and she executed flawlessly. Alana is well-known locally for her proficiency in the interpreting field. If I lived near Alana I would request her to my interpreter, period. I think she's the best of them all. She is embedded in the Deaf community, it cannot get better than that. I would go as far as to say her heart is Deaf. You would be elated to have her as your prospective intern.
